Full breakfasts are served each morning in the elegant dining
room during spring, summer and fall, under chandeliers, with romantic wall sconces
giving the Victorian atmosphere. A garden courtyard opens from the dining room,
where you pass under the hanging Wisteria to relax amidst the flowers. The clematis-draped
wrought iron and stone fence offers subtle privacy in this romantic setting.
After a fulfilling day of sightseeing and activities, come home to soak in our
hot tub beneath hanging baskets, trees and stars.
We're one block from the oceanfront and Cliffside pathways,
and ten minutes walk from the West Bay marina. From there, the oceanfront boardwalk
takes you around the bay into downtown Victoria, or take the quaint little Harbour
Ferry from the marina across the bay to downtown. It's just a five minute drive
into downtown, too.
We suggest you include a whale-watching tour while you are
here. Consider an extra day for this and/or a day trip to our West Coast Rainforest
country. We can book for you ahead or when you arrive. We provide self-guided
walking and driving tour sheets so you can explore locally and southern Vancouver
Island from your home base here.
The nights in our manor are very quiet, and we're surrounded
by birds of all types. Our manor house was once part of the country estate behind
us.
